Developing your potential

To achieve excellence, you must work to fulfill your own potential.

Learn to build on your strengths and to develop the personal qualities that are the keys to perform well.

I chose to write what I have here in points as an easier way to read and in order not to be bored. Just move from one point to the next.

1. Identify your weaknesses as the first step to rectifying them. 2. Do things the easy way and play to your strength. 3. Accept critical comments and act to remedy faults. 4. Form long-term ambitions to help you notice chances to move forward. 5. Take responsibility at the earliest opportunity. 6. Have targets for both achievements and career moves. 7. Never be afraid to learn and use the lessons of you failures. 8. Always expect to outdo others at whatever task you undertake. 9. Keep answers in interviews crisp and to the point. 10. Remember to give yourself credit when you know you deserve it. 11. Mentally rehearse how you want an interview to go, and compare that with what does happen. 12. Back yourself – the only risk is that your judgment may not be correct. 13. Never let opportunities pass, but think twice before acting. 14. Use lists of pros and cons to test your feelings. 15. Do you research and avoid taking action before you have all the facts. 16. Put ambitions on paper so that you can view them as practical plans. 17. Make it a rule never to give up easily, but to keep on trying. 18. When one goal is achieved, set a new and higher one. 19. Imitate somebody with drive and energy to develop those qualities. 20. Avoid asking others to do things you would not do yourself. 21. Always seize an opportunity to delegate tasks. 22. Actively seek feedback on your own effectiveness. 23.
